So here goes, Shirt of the week for 25/11/16

In celebration of Wednesday nights result, this is a Rostov home shirt, from 1998.


Rostov have the moniker that they never lose at home, and on Wednesday they beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in the Champions League, only their second ever victory in the competition.

The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy, they play at the 15840 capacity Olimp-2 stadium.

During their history they’ve been known as Selmashstroy, Selmash, Traktor, Torpedo, Rostselmash, before settling on Rostov. The club is owned by Rostov Oblast, the local ‘Council Authority’.

Currently enjoying sixth position in the Russian premier league their current squad includes Iranian midfielder Saeed Ezatolahi Afagh and current top scorer, another Iranian Sardar Azmoun.
